This is a 100-year-old house updated on a unique wooded property, full of history, federal parkland, and just a stone throw from Chattanooga’s best activities. It is one of the few places where you will feel like you are in a National Forest but you are almost smack dab in the middle of town. The ceilings are high, which makes the bunk beds cozy and very accommodating. While most of the house boasts of oak hardwood floors, the two bedrooms are carpeted for temperature and comfort on bare feet. The bedrooms are spacious, especially the master bedroom with an attached bath. There is a large laundry room with some detergent on hand and a working washer and dryer should your stay be extended.

People who walk into this charming jewel almost universally exclaim how much they love it and how they might even love to live there – it’s hard to put into words just how charming a place this is. With many windows – you get a good view of the surrounding jungle on two sides, and one thing you will notice is the odd lack of straight lines and right angles in this odd, old beauty as is the abundance of handmade goods and furniture. Please note, this is not a five-star accommodation. We strive to provide a very comfortable home away from home, affordably, for families and groups, who might also enjoy the amenities. To this end, we ask that you be honest and mindful when booking your stay and coming.

****Please be aware that we are not an event space and the pool/firepit area is a shared space to be enjoyed but not equipped or available for private party use.

Things To Note

Even though you will think you are staying in the national park when you are in the house, you are right upon the city and I-24 separates the property from the TN river so there is some urban transit noise outside.

“A wonderful retreat! Loved the cabin we were in. Beds were comfortable as were the seats in the living room. I like the soft scent of the wood. I’d recommend it totally.”

Susan Berg Close

“Our cabin was very clean and comfortable. The location is perfect; close to Lookout Mountain attractions, yet a very private cabin in the woods. The hot tub was enjoyable at the end of a busy day.”

Esther McEachern

“Beautiful little log cabins! So perfect with everything you need for a getaway! So close to down town Chattanooga and other sights!! A definite 5/5!”
